I'm still heartbroken about the cancellation, but we must preserver!
Late last night, I made a new friend. We met by discussing what was going to happen to the now cancelled Netflix shows (but mostly Daredevil) and the ones to come. We came up with two options on how these shows could live on.
Option one: The shows will be put on Disney+. Disney+ is Disney's streaming service where they will have a plethora of shows from all of their various studios: Disney, Star Wars, Marvel and Pixar. My biggest gripe with this option is simple: by putting a dark (a super dark) show like Daredevil on a Disney streaming service, you are completely diluting it. This series works because it's so dark, so adult, so very grounded in the harsh reality that is life. It's not family friendly, so don't try to force it to be.
Option two: Same as option one but with Hulu. When the Disney/Fox deal goes though, Disney will have 60% of Hulu. It seems logical to put it on a streaming service that it loosely under the Disney name and not have it be family friendly, ergo: keep that dark stuff coming!
These are just our assumptions, but please tell me if you have any ideas/theories/speculation and the like on what, if anything, will happen to these shows!
